Shirley B. Holloman was born on April 29, 1935 in Thomasville, North Carolina. At a young age, she also planted roots in Manning, South Carolina. She was a mother, wife, grandmother, and beloved friend. In the 1950’s, Mrs. Shirley Holloman moved to Hampton, Virginia where she lived out the remaining of her glorious years.
Mrs. Shirley was destined to lead with purpose. She used her voice to overcome various obstacles. She was known to stand her ground while advocating for what she believed and determined to change the world. One of those ways was through cooking and offering a meal to anybody that entered her home.
